Mat Pilates

Pure Movement, Powerful Result

Mat Pilates at USA Pilates strips exercise down to its essentials—your body, the mat, and intentional movement. Using primarily your own body weight with minimal props, mat Pilates builds incredible core strength, flexibility, and body awareness. It’s challenging, accessible, and can be practiced anywhere.

What to Expect

In a mat Pilates session, you’ll work through a thoughtfully sequenced series of exercises performed on a mat. While it may look simple, mat Pilates is deceptively challenging—every movement requires control, precision, and core engagement.

Jenna will guide you through classical Pilates mat exercises and variations, using props like resistance bands, small balls, and magic circles when appropriate to add challenge or provide support. Each session builds on the last, progressively deepening your practice and your results.

The beauty of mat Pilates is its portability—once you learn the exercises, you can practice them anywhere, making it perfect for travel or supplementing your equipment training.
